VIDEO : Ball of the century by Shikha Pandey to Dismiss Healy

Australia skipper Meg Lanning won the toss and elected to bowl against India in the second women’s T20I here on Saturday. Both the teams decided to play.

After a poor start, India found late runs from Pooja Vastrakar (37) and Deepti Sharma (16 off 19) as they posted 118/9. Sophie Molineux (2/11 in four overs) and Tayla Vlaeminck (2/18 in three overs) were brilliant with the ball for Australia, taking a couple of wickets each. India gave themselves a good account in defence by getting early wickets, but a target of 119 was always going to a be tricky one against the world champions.

Alyssa Healy smashed the first ball of the chase for a boundary, but off the very next ball Pandey cleans up Healy with a near-perfect delivery that comes back in considerably.

Shikha Pandey has struck in the second ball of the Australian innings. India off to a fine start with dangerous Alyssa Healy back in the hut for just 4 runs.

Australia, on the other hand, far away from being clinical but enough gas in the tank to clinch the series. They have done this without some of their senior players. Another plus is that they have found some great young stars for the future like McGrath, who was exceptional again tonight.
